    Hunter Engineering Company is a world leader in automotive service equipment, offering state-of-the-art wheel alignment systems, vehicle inspection systems, wheel balancers, lift racks and more. Hunter equipment is approved and used by vehicle manufacturers, automobile and truck dealers, tire dealers and automotive service facilities around the world. We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician.

    Responsibilities

    To administer the testing of Hunter Engineering Company designed software, hardware and other equipment on vehicles that apply to the equipment sold.  Provide feedback to engineers regarding technical issues or operational improvements in prototype equipment.

     

    1. Make detail-oriented observation of alignment software operation as it relates to sensor hardware during on-vehicle testing.
    2. Make detail-oriented observation of inspection lane software operation as it relates to sensor hardware during on-vehicle testing.
    3. Provide testing feedback and written technical reports to the Engineering Department on the usability and quality of new products.
    4. Make detail-oriented observation of software operation as it relates to balancing equipment and the hardware that it associated with it.
    5. Make detail-oriented observation of software operation as it relates to tire changing equipment and the hardware that is associated with it.

    Qualifications

    Education Level:
    Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

     

    • Must have an in-depth understanding of wheel alignment, brakes, and wheel / tire balancing as it relates to service equipment.
      • Applicants must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the automotive service field or equivalent.
      • Must have strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft software tools and operating systems.
      • Good communication skills are required.
      • Experience with PC hardware, BIOS, Operating systems, debugging software, and analyzing data logs is preferred.
      • Strong organizational and project prioritization and tracking skills are required.
      • Experience with vehicle on-board computer systems and scan tools is preferred.
