    Hunter Engineering Company is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of computer based automotive service equipment.  We are in search of an enthusiastic and self­ motivated sophomore, junior, or senior with a major in a field of study cohesive with Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.



    This role is for a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op, providing support to Manufacturing to improve Process layout and efficiencies for Hunter Engineering's assembly process:

    • Complete AutoCad Line Layouts to support both current configurations as well as future layout improvements.
    • Review current assembly processes and define and implement improvements for productivity, quality, and/or safety.
    • Define and document standardized work instructions for areas of assembly that are not currently clearly defined.

    This is a general list of responsibilities, and is not exhaustive.  As needed, Co-ops may be required to perform additional tasks outside of their normal responsibilities.






    Enrollment in a Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering degree program. Candidates must have at least a basic familiarity with performing time studies and defining and implementing standard work procedures.  Candidates must also possess strong written and verbal communication skills.  Prior intern or Co-Op experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.


    Qualifications  summary:

    • Minimum 3.0 GPA
    • Major studies in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and AutoCAD
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook experience required, Microsoft Access experience preferred.
