Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

Support assembly operations through time-motion studies, line balancing, workflow analysis, plant layout optimization, work instruction documentation, liaison between production and design engineering, cost estimating

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establishing labor standards through the use of time-motion studies
• Improve product flow using Kaizen events, plant rearrangement, assembly cell design, etc.
• Plant layout drawing maintenance
• Work with Production, Engineering, and Quality for prototyping and new product launches, including designing new assembly processes
• Generate cost estimates for new product development
• Create and maintain work instructions for process improvements and engineering changes
• Serve as a liaison between Production, Quality, and Design Engineering
• Other assignments as deemed appropriate by the supervisor
• 0-10% work travel required

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably industrial engineering


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Five or more years working in an assembly manufacturing environment
• Proficient with AutoCAD 2D drafting
• Plant layout and product flow analysis
• Time-motion studies
• Line balancing
• New product cost estimating
• One-piece flow assembly line design
• Kaizen events
