On a day to day basis, the selected candidate will work direct with other members of the purchasing department, engineering, manufacturing, as well as with a diverse supply base. The interaction with various internal departments and outside sources needed to complete a number of tasks and duties will allow the individual to build communication skills and improve critical thinking in a professional atmosphere.
The selected candidate will also have the opportunity to improve on their Business and Supply Chain concepts through the control of Hunter's in-house, customized ERP system. This utility will allow the chosen individual the ability to monitor inventory, increase knowledge of safety stock levels and economic order quantities (EOQ), build understanding of AJB/C item purchases, and choose the most appropriate suppliers based on Total Cost of Ownership concepts.
